LIST OR MANIFEST OF ALIEN IMMIGRANTS FOR THE COMMISSIONER OF IMMIGRATION.
Required by the regulations of the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, under Act of Congress, approved March 3, 1893, to be delivered to the Commissioner of Immigration by the Commanding Officer of any vessel having such passengers on board upon arrival at a port in the United States.
S.S. Australia, sailing from Honolulu Feb 23rd, 1895 arriving at Port of San Francisco, March 2, 1895.
Columns represent: Number, Name, Age, Married or Single, Occupation, Able to Read & Write, Nationality, Final Destination in the US, Whether having a ticket to final destination, By whom was passage paid?, Whether in Possession of Money-if less than $30, how much?, Whether ever before in the US, Whether going to join Relative or Friend

There is no captain's statement nor captain's name attached to this manifest.
The following columns had identical entries for all passengers and so were 
not included in the table:
 Sex=M 
 Last Residence=Honolulu 
 Seaport for Landing in the US=San Francisco  
 Whether ever in Prison, Almshouse or supported by Charity=no
 Whether a Polygamist=no
 Whether under contract to labor in the US=no
 Condition of Health Mental and Physical=good
 Whether having any deformities=no 
Letters that are illegible or difficult to interpret are replaced by ?.

Passenger Notes:
1  is going to join "Brother."
2  There are ditto marks in the Going to Join column that indicate he
   also is going to join "Brother."
