I Francis W. Wilson Master of the Ship Andalusia of Baltimore do solemnly swear that the within List contains to the best of my knowledge and belief a just and true account or Report of all the Passengers who have been taken On board the said ship at Bremen or any other Foreign Port or at sea and brought in the said vessel into any district of the U.S. since her departure from the said port of Bremen. Notes on the ship Andalusia
In Queens of the Western Ocean, The Story of America's Mail and Passenger
Sailing Lines by Carl C. Cutler, 1961, page 408, the Andalusia is listed
under Baltimore & Hampton Roads-Liverpool, known in Liverpool as "Baltimore
Line of Packets." James Corner & Sons, Baltimore agents, Brown, Shipley &
Co., James Browne & Co., and Brown & Harrisons Liverpool agents. Established
Mar., 1846. "A contemplated line of ships to sail monthly. 1848 Ship
Andalusia, 772 tons, Master Francis W. Williams.
In Greyhounds of the Sea, The Story of the American Clipper Ship by Carl C.
Cutler, 1930, is a list in the Appendix labeled "A selected list of fast
sailing vessels built in the United States from 1782 to 1849, inclusive."
