misspelled, eg Wilse should be Welsede for family 158-163. Gelderssen =
Gellersen, Grubenhagen = Grupenhagen, Hanelscheberg = Hamelschenburg (umlaut
over a). Many others can not be identified as spelled.

New York City, New York and Johanne anglicized her name or Joseph Ferdinand
Keppler married again to Pauline. I have a copy of a letter written
from Johanne to Friederike signed Johanne Keppler addressing their
brother's sordid marriage to the Keppler's maid (in German, translated
to English).
Friederike Karolinn Nicolas married Johann Georg Zeller in St. Louis,
Missouri on 12 April 1855. Johann Georg Zeller (anglicized John George
Zeller) was a graduate of St. Louis University with an MD. They settled
in Spring Bay, Illinois (north of Peoria) on the Illinois River. They
had five (5) children, Maria (died in infancy 1855), Charles Alexander
Zeller, Dr. George Anthony Zeller, Josephine Mathilda Zeller, and
Fredericka Caroline Zeller. Friederike had a crippling disease
(rheumatism??), and died in May 1865, just after Lincoln's assassination
in April of 1865. I have a letter from Dr. John Zeller's brother in
Volkertshofen g Pfaffenhofen ad Roth, Bayern, Deutschland expressing his
condolences on both.
Friederike is buried in the Spring Bay Cemetery, Spring Bay, Illinois
(tombstone in German), next to Dr. John George Zeller, and his 2nd wife,
Miss Caroline Elizabeth Winkler Zeller.
The Nicolases came on the Bark Adonis from Bremen, Germany to New
Orleans, Louisiana on June 1, 1854. This was a return trip, as they had
settled in the States when Friederike was only 9 as a result of the
religious oppression in Nancy, Lorraine, France (Huguenauts).
