I, Cap Ettore Zar, Master, of the "Presidente Wilson" from Trieste, do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear that I have caused the surgeon of said vessel sailing therewith, or the surgeon employed by the owners thereof, to make a physical and mental examination of each and all of the aliens named in the foregoing Lists or Manifest Sheets, thirty in number, and that from the report of said surgeon and from my own investigation, I believe that no one of said aliens is of any of the classes excluded from admission into the United States by section three of the Immigration Act, and that also, according to the best of my knowledge and belief, the information in said Lists or Manifests concerning each of said aliens named therein is correct and true in every respect.

*  All misspellings have been transcribed as they appear on the original
   manifest and should not be considered as errors by the transcriber.

*  Transcriber believes numbers written as what might be considered date form,
   as in 3/6/37 are not dates
   Reviewer's note: These are dates, usually with verification of landing or
   naturalization.

*  Permanent residence within the meaning of this manifest shall be actual or
   intended residence of one year or more

*  Many numbers in column one are overstamped with the word "admitted" and
   handwritten over with SI

*  SI means - Held for Board of Special Inquiry hearing.

*  Column 2 is used for Government officials only (this is blank except for
   passengers under 16 years and for those there's a stamp "under 16")

Reviewer's Notes:

Most passengers have numbers like 5/0684 written in the read/write coloumn. This
means they were tested for their reading ability. The first number is a number
for the language, the next 4 numbers a the numbers for a certain sentence in that
language.

1040 - 1042: the last name Bensis has been crossed out, Bessis written above it.
