AFFIDAVIT OF THE MASTER OR COMMANDING OFFICER,
OR FIRST OR SECOND OFFICER.

I, Cap. Ettore Zar, Master of the "Presidente Wilson" from Trieste, do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear that I have caused the surgeon of said vessel sailing therewith, or the surgeon employed by the owners thereof, to make a physical and mental examination of each and all of the aliens named in the foregoing Lists or Manifest Sheets, twentysix in number, and that from the report of said surgeon and from my own investigation,I believe that no one of said aliens is of any of the classes excluded from admission into the United States by section three of the Immigration Act, and that also, according to the best of my knowledge and belief, the information in said Lists or Manifests concerning each of said aliens named therein is correct and true in every respect.

ALL ALIENS arriving at a port of continental United States from a foreign port or a port of the insular possessions of the United States, and all aliens arriving at a port of said insular possessions from a foreign port, a port of continental United States, or a port of another insular possession, in whatsoever class they travel, MUST be fully listed and the master or commanding officer of each vessel carrying such passengers must upon arrival deliver lists thereof to the immigration officer. Transcribers Notes:

* Column 14 has been eliminated since it is a repeat of column 1.
* Columns 11 and 33 show Country first, then city or town.  
  These have been reversed for ease of reading.
* A few numbers in column 1 are over-stamped with Admitted and 
  overwritten with the letters S.I.  An asterisk after the passenger
  number has been used to identify those.
* Column 2 is blank except for a stamp reading Under 16 for passengers
  under 16 years of age.
* In all cases Yugoslavia is spelled Jugoslavia.

Reviewer's Note:
 
A lot of the passengers have numbers such as 4-624 or 3-1624 written in the language coloumn.
This means that they were given a reading test upon arrival. The first number is the language code,
such as English, Spanish, etc. The other numbers are for the sentence number.

DOM could be the initials of the custom's inspector dealing with the passenger.
