Total immigs 510, 507 males, 3 females. Rejected one male immig for physical disability." Passengers 1 and 7 - had the word "Laborer" written over the original entry for occupation. Passenger 2 - the occupation may be washer or waiter. Passengers 3 and 4 - the amount $30 has a bracket connecting the two, suggesting they were together as husband and wife. Passenger 5 and 11 - the occupation was originally written as "merchant" and then scratched out. Passenger 12 - the word "student" was added to the occupation. Marital status was originally written as married, but then scratched out. Passenger 13 - there is a ditto mark for marital status. Unclear whether this means "married," as originally written for Passenger 11, or "single," as corrected for Passenger 11. Passenger 14 - marital status is written in as single. At the bottom of the page is written "Thirty-seven on this manifest of passengers on Nanyo Maru arrived at Port of Seattle March 11 and were examined and passed March 11, 1900 and 8 more passed Mar. 28 1900," and signed "Chas.
