*The numbering system employed is that of the transcriber and not of the lister.
The original document consisted of two pages, each numbered 1-30. Lister used
these numbers and at times partially filled a page. Transcriber numbered
consecutively.
*Place of last residence: At bottom of manifest page: "The last country in which
alien resided with the intention of remaining as long as one year shall be the
last permanent residence regardless of length of actual residence therein"
A ? indicates letter or letters which could not be read because of the quality
of the document. The parentheses is used to add comments of transcriber and to
clarify where necessary - they were not that of the lister himself.
Passenger 548 begins the steerage passengers through to the end of the Manifest.
Beginning with Pass. 1176, all of these Steerage passengers embarked at
Queenstown, Ireland on October 23.
The following passengers had "Non Immigrant Alien" stamped over Col.10-Last Perm.
Residence: 1237, 1238, 1239, 1247, 1253, 1256.
