Transcriber's Notes:
*The numbering system employed is that of the transcriber and not of the lister.
 The original manifest consisted of two separate pages, each numbered 1-30;
 lister used these numbers and at times partially filled a page. Transcriber 
 numbered consecutively.
*Place of last residence: At bottom of Manifest page: "The last country in which
 alien resided with the intention of remaining as long as one year shall be the
 last permanent residence regardless of length of actual residence therein".
A ? indicates letter or letters which could not be read because of the quality of
 the document. The parentheses is used to add comments of transcriber and to
 clarify where necessary - they were not that of the lister himself.
In Col.15-Money on hand, only for 1st Class passengers, lister often placed a 
 checkmark and it is not clear what he meant; perhaps he did not ask this 
 information of the First-class passengers. 
The following passengers had "Non Immigrant Alien" stamped over Col.10-Last Perm.
