Schooner Vigilant
I, H. C. Lyhtborn do solemnly, sincerely and truly swear that the following List or Manifest of Passengers, subscribed with my name, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs for the District of New York, contains, to the best of my knowledge and belief, a just and true account of all the Passengers received on board the Schr Vigilant whereof I am Master, from Eleuthera. So help me God.

of the original document.
passenger 1: surname could be Welden, first letter looks like a W, and it looks
like the third initial of passenger 4 which is also hard to identify
passenger 4: third initial could be W, looks similar to first letter of passenger
1's surname
passenger 6: surname difficult to decipher - first letter could be S or I; letter
is formed starting lower left to upper right then back to lower left just a
millimeter away from beginning place, then it swirls through about the halfway
point; second letter could be s or g; rest of word looks like mers; could name be
Agmers? Igmers? Asmers? Ismers?
passengers 7 and 8: not sure of occupation, most likely marine like passenger 1
passenger 9: not sure of occupation, first word is hotel, second word may start
with M, but could be B; word is four letters long, third letter appears to be l
(compare to l in hotel); Hotel M_l_
