I Thomas F. Freeman do solemnly, sincerely and truly declare that the following List or Manifest of Passengers, subscribed with my name, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs for the District of New York, contains, to the best of my knowledge and belief, a just and true account all the Passengers received on board the Ship Sea of New York at Liverpool, whereof I am Master, from Liverpool. recorder.
* The use of a ? mark indicates a word or letters that could not be read due to
the quality of the original document.
* In the column headed "Died on the voyage", there is only one entry and it
relates to passenger #126; for details, see note below.
Passenger Notes:
#7 is clearly recorded as 117 years of age; this seems most unlikely, and
possibly should have read 11 yrs 7 months.
#16, #17, #55, #56, #103 and #104 were probably returning US citizens.
#38 was probably Julia.
#58 has no occupation listed.
#89 and #90 could be Timling or Tunling.
#101 has the second letter in the surname matching the letter "w" elsewhere in
the manifest.
#126 died on the voyage on Nov 19th.
