DISTRICT OF NEW YORK - PORT OF NEW YORK
I, H.Oltmann, Master of the Old Schr Jno do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New-York, is a full and perfect list of all passengers taken on board of the said Schr at Ciudad Bolivar from which port said Schr has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who died. So help me God. (signed)Hinrich Oltmann Sworn to this 5 Janry, 1856 (signed)?eathm??,DC

Transcriber's Notes:

*Although the manifest does not specify the country associated with Ciudad Bolivar, it is
likely that it refers to the port of Ciudad Bolivar in Venezuela on the Orinoco River.
*The first letter in the name of the District Collector signing this list may be H. It is
unclear what the end letter or letters are, though there may be an n.
*The tonnage of the vessel was left blank.
*The columns indicating deaths and accomodations have been eliminated because neither
     was used.
*The passenger's last name may be Eggers. The ?'s represent two to three letters. None of
them extend below the line, and none extend upward like l's or t's would.
*There is only one passenger listed on this ship.
