DISTRICT OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK - PORT OF NEW YORK
I Rich Bussius Master of the N.G.L.S.S. Neckar
do solemnly sincerely and truly swear that the following List or Manifest
subscribed to me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs
of the Collection District of the city of New York, is a full and perfect
list of all the passengers taken on board the said Neckar
at Bremen, from which port said S.S. Neckar has
now arrived and that on said list is truly designated, the age, the sex, and
the calling of each of the said passengers, the location of the compartment
or space occupied by each during the passage, the country of citizenship of
each, and also the destination or location intended by each, and that this
Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on
the voyage, and the dates and names and ages of those who died, also of the
pieces of baggage of each; also a true statement, as far as can be ascertained,
with reference to the intention of each passenger as to a protracted sojourn
in this country, So help me God.

There is also a Hein family listed (#92-98) which I am also checking into
because Catharine Elise was a Hein before she married and these Heins may
be her brother and his family.

Ancestors of Transcriber Passengers #219 and 220
Passenger No.'s 219 and 220, Carl Treichler and Hans Treichler
I'm virtually certain that this is the Hans Treichler who was my husband's
grandfather, who used the name John S. Treichler in the U.S. Here's some
information about Carl and Hans, who were the sons of Karl and Barbara
(Zollinger) Treichler, married in Hombrechtikon, Zurich, Switzerland 18 Aug
1861:
Karl Salomon Treichler b. 23 Aug 1865, Hombrechtikon, Zurich, Switzerland
Hans/John S. Treichler b. 22 April 1867, Rapperswil, St. Gallen,
Switzerland, d. 18 Dec 1948 in Santa Cruz, California. Hans/John married
Eva Moore in Pueblo, Colorado, and they had two daughters, Barbara Jane and
Audrey Cynthia.
Correspondence 09/14/2004 passenger #26 Baertich
I am researching my cousin's ancestor Herman Baertich who arrived on
the SS Neckar. He settled in Troy, IN. The line of descendancy is

If you find an ancestor on a ship on ISTG and would like to link to your email address or home page, please submit a short paragraph about the passenger, where settled, children, etc., with the name of the ship and date of arrival, and send to the transcriber at the bottom of the manifest or to the ISTG Production Coordinator.
We strive to make your search productive. If you don't find the passenger list you are looking
for on our site, please consider a subscription to Ancestry.com. There, you can locate your
ancestors ship, passenger list, view and save a copy of the original list. You can also access
census data and death records to help you in your search. Census records, and in particular
the 1930 census, is one of the most easily used tools for beginners and seasoned genealogists alike.
Ancestry.com is the only place where all census years are easily searchable.
