Transcriber's Notes:
I have tried to faithfully transcribe this manifest to the best of
my ability. Where spelling is in question it is as it appears on
the manifest.
* The "Sex" column on this manifast was blank wwith the exception of
passengers 231 to 255.
* The entry for the 1st passenger on the list indicates U.S. as The country
to which they intend to become inhabitants. Subsequent to that is a
squiggly line for all pages.
^ 132 "W^m" The ^ states that letter(s) following were slightly higher than
the rest of the letters meaning this could be an abbreviation for William.
* 140 The name "Estteen" could be Esttun.
^ 153 "Barn^d" The ^ states that letter(s) following were slightly higher
than the rest of the letters meaning this could be an abbreviation for
Barnard.
* 168 "Shilletor" may have been "Lhilletor". The "S" and "L" looked very
similar.
* 172 Age recorded as 1 1/2
* 175 The First letter: could be a "C", "S", or an "E"; Second letter: 'l' or
"t". Third letter/forth letter: "iz" or "ig"; Fifth letter an "a". Suggested
names are: Elizabeth, Eliza, Elizarby, Elizarles, Clizardy, Elizarely,
Elizardy, Elizard, Elizarde, Stizauly, or Sliganby.
* 198-199-200-201 The occupation of "Mechank" as written on the Manifest is
probably Mechanic.
* 210 "Glurly" could be Gurly, but the Manifest showed an "L" after the G,
however there is no Glurly in the current white pages so it could have
been spelled incorrectly.
^ 210 "W^m" The ^ states that letter(s) following were slightly higher than
the rest of the letters meaning this could be an abbreviation for William.
* 223-224-225-226-227-228 The manifest shows a ditto mark following the last
name of Mahan for passenger 223; that would indicate that Mahan is a middle
name and Cleary is the last name for this passenger and his family.
^ 223 * "Rich^d" The ^ states that letter(s) following were slightly higher
than the rest of the letters meaning this could be an abbreviation for
Richard.
* 237-238-239-240-241 "Clearry" could be Cleary.
^ 266 "W^m" The ^ states that letter(s) following were slightly higher than the
rest of the letters meaning this could be an abbreviation for William.
* The number of passengers that were on the manifest that was transcribed was
274 meaning that 29 passengers were not listed on the film of the manifest.
The cabin count is correct with 18 passengers and 2 of them being infants so
the missing passengers were in steerage. The numbers indicate that there were
15 infants, but the filmed pages only show 14.
* The number of passengers landed reflects that 4 of passengers died, however
our manifest only showed 3 passengers that died.
