Transcriber's Notes:
This was marked a City List.
Note on first page of list: Passengers were taken on board at City Point
from the Ship Lucilla, from Bremen.
* Lewis Parish was probably captain of the Norfolk and not the captain of
the Lucilla on her crossing. The other captain's name was not recorded.
* There was probably another manifest for the actual voyage of the Lucilla,
but it seems not to have survived. It would possibly have given the actual
villages of the passengers, but for this manifest, only Bremen was written
for all.
* The accounting of the number of passengers is off by 2. There are actually
126 listed, with #127 on this transcription having been crossed off the
original.
#2 seems to have "do" after Goldsmith for ditto of surname Iglehelhart.
Perhaps Goldsmith was maiden name.
#3 there may be letter t on end of surname, Dresfust, but not certain.
#19 occupation could be brickmaker or brushmaker.
#22 surname possibly Beasman or Brasman.
#28-34 surname written with C, but perhaps should be Shaeffer.
#29 age is overwritten; not possible to determine if 39 or 29 or 19, or
even 49.
#31-32 first names as found; perhaps could be mis-spelled for Leonore and
Louisa.
#35-37 surname something like Foulstacer or Toulstacer.
#37 first name probably spelled Ludwic here.
#41 first name probably Christina, but badly written.
#43 first name probably Henry, as it is the right number of letters,
same as #42, but damaged area.
#50-57 surname something like Leich or Lech or Luch.
#50 first name looks like Mangnus.
#54 age probably 17, but not too clearly written.
#57 not sure if age is 55 or 5 or something in between.
#61 age possibly 24.
#62 surname looks something like Chiner or Chines.
#70-72 surname looks like Vert or possibly Vest.
#73-78 surname something like Hind or Hund or Hent or similar,
or it could be more than 4 letters; some damage here.
#76 age could be 1y6m or 8y6m but seems to be overwritten.
#79-81 surname could be Foulster or possibly Toulster.
#92-99 surname Sharnburg or Shamburg.
#98 first name looks like Hanas.
#100 first name looks like Irough.
#101-105 surname something like Leik or Leck; possibly the same as #50-57.
#106 surname something like Birn or Bine.
#109-111 surname does not looks as if it was all written here. Looks like
Star.
#110 age could be 30 or 36.
#112 surname possibly Feser.
#113 occupation could be brickmaker or brushmaker.
#115 this line cut off on original. Surname begins Keim or Kein or Keir,
perhaps 4 or 5 more letters, but not possible to figure out rest of
name. Her age in the 20's.
#116 first name looks like Gatling or Gatting. Surname could be spelled
Clem?r or Elem?r.
#117 surname looks like Angal, perhaps for Engel.
#121 surname looks like Mall.
#125-126 surname Hemarly or Hernaty or variation.
#127 this passenger's name was crossed off. Surname something like Dussman
or Dufman or Dupman. Occupation was tanner or farmer.
