A question mark indicates letters words that cannot be read due to the quality of the original document. NOTE: The writer of this list used many 'do's' (Dittos) on this list. For most families, the occupation of the first person listed is dittoed down the whole family, and often into the next, which makes little sense when young children are given an occupation such as blacksmith. Because of this, occupations have been placed on this list only on the line where the occupation is actually written out. #6 - In Column for sex is written: 'Fell overboard and was lost' #13-18 - Surname either Herehan or Herechen #19, 20 - Writers capital B and R are nearly identical. Surname either Ruten or Buten. #21 - First name unclear. Clear Ma at start, followed by what appears to be several r's or n's or possibly an m. Maybe Mary, Marie. #23 - First name Louis does not agree with female gender. Impossible to tell which is correct. #24 - First name unclear. Possibly Aloise. #27 - First name unclear. Initial f is lowercase. Possibly reads framien or ieu. #30 - Surname Hart or Hark, possibly followed by another letter. #41, 43 - These passengers are probably female. #44 - At this point the writer of this list begins listing a city, presumably the city where the passenger intends to settle, instead of just stating 'United States' #56 - First name probably Barbara, but last three letters are illegible. #66 - Renkers or Benkers #71, 72 - Teith or Ceith #77, 78 - Gerstel or Gerotel #80 - Zinck or Zinch. #80 - The writer at this point fills in the column 'Place of Settlement' with 'New York' instead of Germany. This entry is the top of a new page. #87 - Koessler or Roessler #89 - Final 2 or 3 letters of surname illegible. Possibly Schniur or Schnirr. #94 - Stumpf or Stumpp. #114 - Should be female. #115 - Should be male. #117 - Should be female #121 - This entry is at the top of the page. Though 9 years old, he is listed with an occupation of 'farmer' which is dittoed for the rest of his family. His intended place of settlement is listed as 'Pen' but all previous family members indicate 'NY'. 'Pen' is dittoed for the rest of his family. #127 - Occupation hard to read, possibly Mason. #128 - Should be female. #130 - Should be male. #131 - Should be female. #132 - Should be male. #137 - Age appears '1/8' which might mean 1 year 8 months.
