Correspondence added 8-22-2005, Passenger 37, ADDY
I believe I have found my grandmother line 37 Jamima Addy.
I have been told that her mother died at sea. I’m trying to
find out anything I can about Jamima and family. What was her
father’s name? Was her father already here or was he dead?
Why were they going to Cleveland? I was told that she met my
grandfather George Marris on the ship coming to America, but I
can’t find him on this list (page 1 or 2), so that can’t be true.
I do know that George and Jamima were married in Akron, Ohio on
17 March 1854. They had 11 children of which 8 were living in
1921 at the time of Jamima’s death. Please, if anyone has any
information about these people contact me.
Thank you.
