Transcriber's Notes:

No deaths were noted on this voyage, so the column Died on the Voyage has
been omitted.
The manifest is not numbered; numbers have been added for convenience.
In general, diacritical marks are not used; exceptions are noted below.
The phrase "21 Cabin" is written sideways down the column "Died on the
Voyage."
Following the 21st passenger's name, "Steerag Passengers" is written across
the middle of the manifest.
On the following page, the phrase "83 Steerage" is written in the "Died on
the Voyage" column.
For the first six passengers, Mr. J. Iselin through Martin W. Iselin, gender
is recorded twice - in the "months" column as well as the "sex" column.
For the first two passengers, gender is written out - Male or Female; in
succeeding entries, gender is abbreviated as M or F.
It appears that "Occupation" is provided for each head of household only.
That occupation appears to be ascribed to all other family members, by way
of a vertical squiggle descending from each new occupation. Ditto marks are
not used in this column.
In the column representing country of origin, vertical squiggles are usually
used after the introduction of a new country; ditto marks are only
occasionally used in this column, primarily in the Cabin section of the list.
In the column representing destination, US is listed only twice - once at
the head of the Cabin section of the list, and once at the beginning of the
Steerage section. Ditto marks are not used in this column.
Punctuation is used haphazardly throughout the manifest.

3 Helene is abbreviated Helne, with last two letters in superscript.
7 Samuel is abbreviated Saml, with last letter in superscript.
12 Charles is abbreviated Chs, with last letter in superscript. There is
an accent aigu over last e in Herve.
14 Samuel is abbreviated Saml, with last letter in superscript.
15, 17 and 19 Madame is abbreviated Madm, with last letter in superscript.
19 Ada is written as an abbreviation, with last letter in superscript.
31 Nicolas Hedeit, age 20, is listed as a female.
53 Frederic is abbreviated Fredc, with last letter in superscript.
56 Frederic is abbreviated Fredc, with last letter in superscript.
57 through 62 Surname for this family is difficult to decipher; it could be
    Comirade.
60 Large ink blot obscures most of last name; only C and ade are clearly
    visible.
63 Abraham is abbreviated Abrah, with last letter in superscript.
65 Latietie certainly seems to be an odd surname. The final letter might
be an r; however, the i's are definitely dotted.
80 Charles is abbreviated Charls, with the last two letters in superscript.
82 Sopha, probably an abbreviation for Sophia, is written with the last
    letter in superscript.
85 Thomas is abbreviated as Thos, with the last letter in superscript.
98 Frederic is abbreviated Fredc, with last letter in superscript.
99 Elizabeth is abbreviated Elizbh, with the last letter in superscript.
103 Occupation is questionable.
104 Sugar refiner is abbreviated Refr, with last letter in superscript.

Transcriber's Notes on Passengers:
24 Francois Moulin married Jeanne Marie Heidet 4 Dec. 1817, Romagny-sous-
Rougemont, Territory of Belfort, France. Son Francois born there
28 June 1826. Family appears to have settled in Allen Co., Indiana.
30 The name is consistently spelled Heidet in French records.
30 Marie Heidet appears to be the widow of Nicolas Moulin, who died in 1827
in Romagny, Territory of Belfort, France. As was the French custom, she
continued to use her maiden name. However, this was apparently
misunderstood by the person who created the manifest. It is believed that
the entries following that of Marie Heidet - Nicolas, Marie B., and John
   P. Hedeit - are actually Nicolas, Marie Barbe and Jean Pierre MOULIN, the
children of Nicolas Moulin and Marie Heidet, all born at Romagny. The
family settled in Stark Co., Ohio.
30 Francois Moulin, passenger 24, is also a son of Nicolas Moulin and Marie
Heidet, as is Marianne Moulin, passenger 35.
34 Joseph Marie Etienne, native of Courtemaiche, Bure, Switzerland; wife
Marianne Moulin of Romagny, daughter of Nicolas Moulin and Marie Heidet.
Son Nicolas born 28 June 1826, Romagny-sous-Rougemont, Territory of
Belfort. Family settled in Stark Co., Ohio. For additional information
   about the Etienne/Moulin family, see
   Etienne/Moulin.
38 Rhame family may also have ties to Romagny-sous-Rougemont.
45 Jacques Heidet also from Romagny-sous-Rougemont.
47 Jean Jacques Bohin, watchmaker, originally from Audincourt, Doubs, France.
Married 31 Sept. 1816, at Montbouton, Territory of Belfort, Marie
Francoise Comtesse. Daughter Marie Francoise also born at Montbouton.
Settled near Frenchtown, Crawford Co., PA. Name often anglicized as
   "Jacob Bowen."
72 Contesse name might actually be spelled Comtesse; there is another
Comtesse passenger on board (see note above, Marie Francoise Comtesse
   Bohin.
