Ship Erie
I, Fre? B. Lewis, do solemnly, sincerely, and truly affirm that the following List or Manifest, of Passengers, subscribed with my name; and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs for the District of New York, contains, to the best of my knowledge and belief, a just and true account of all the Passengers received on board the Ship Erie whereof I am Master, from Glasgow So help me God. F. B. Lewis. Sworn before me this Nov 8, 1851 (signed) ?.
List or Manifest of all the Passengers taken on board the Ship Erie whereof F. B. Lewis, is master, from Glasgow burthen four hundred sixty six 62/88? tons.
Columns represent: name, age, sex, occupation, Country to which they severally belong, country which they intend to become inhabitants, died on the voyage.

B. Lewis Transcriber's Notes: Was unable to read the first name of the ship master, the first three letters were Fre the remainder runs together. The signature was readable and was signed F. B. Lewis. There was a question mark after 62/88? on original document not added by transcriber. This list was easily read and clear, and there were no comments in the died in voyage column.
