I, J. G. Russell do solemnly, sincerely and truly swear that the following List or Manifest of Passengers, subscribed with my name, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs for the District of New York, contains, to the best of my knowledge and belief, a just and true account of all the Passengers received on board the Empire State whereof I am Master, from Liverpool.   # 495.  No other information provided.
* Passenger # 504, Originally recorded between the lines, just beneath passenger
  # 503.  No other information provided.
* Passenger # 526, The last letter in given name is superscripted. Marg^t is
  usually an abbreviation for Margaret.
* Passenger # 527, Original manifest page very faded/light print. ?'s in surname
  are neither below the line or above the center of the line; could possibly be

  line. Looks like either ey or uf. Surname could possibly be Forpey or Forpuf.
