So help me God.
Sworn to me this 10th day of July 1894

Transcriber's Notes:
The captain was Kurt von Gossel with an umlaut over the o in Gossel.
Port of Embarkation was Bremen for all passengers. There were no deaths.
Therefore these columns were not shown for each passenger.
Names on the manifest were transcribed as they appeared;
note that passengers 76-78 and 87-91 appear to be last name first.
Passenger notes:
20 The ^ indicates raised letters follow. A curl before the first h hints
that the surname might be Bachenheimer or Bahenheimer.
21 Ro?der could be Roeder or Rooder.
28 Mary Wiegard's age might be 24 or 54 or 57.
31 Minnie Bett?? might be Betterso or Betteroe as last letters ran together.
35 First name might be Max.
42 ?alsbury looks like Kalsbury or Malsbury.
45 Middle name unclear; something like Ed or Erob.
46 Jarry, Fairy or Karry and something like Langheineicl or Langheinrid.
49 Maybe Herdje, Gerdje, or Merdje.
56 First letter looks like J for Jettchen but could be Gettchen or
even Yettchen.
58 First name could be Jorac, Gorac, or Gonac.
64 First letter of surname not recognized. Might be H for Haudmann, Hausmann.
67 Surname looks like Uricksen or Ulricksen. Destination looks like Retland.
70 Occupation looks something like mardt.
73 First name could be Mathew or Mathers.
75 First letter of surname not recognized. Maybe H for Hornburg or R.
76 Second name is Pal or Pat. Not a surname.
77 Kozozanski or Rozozanski. See note for #93.
78 Looks like Picchowski, but could be Siechowski.
83 First name probably Chaje but could be Ehaje.
84 First name looks something like Cuija or Evieja.
86 First name looks something like Chana or Eliana.
87 Again the last name appears first. It looks like Markonis or Markomis.
92 First name may be Josonya or Jasonya.
93-94 The first letter of ?lossons ?ozulski and ?opacz looks like a K with
the upper right leg as a loop making the letter seem like an R. So it
is either Klossons Kozulski Kopacz or Rlossons Rozulski and Ropacz.
Destination was Showand or Shonand.
96 First name could be Chajem or Clajem.
100 Probably Rinkowicz although the R looks weak.
101 First name letters very small and on the line. Maybe Harm or Hiam.
102 First name looks like Joranl but unclear.
103 First name H followed by 5 or 6 low letters ending with an
apparent y, f or s.
104 First name a blur. My guess is Estoria or Ester.
105 First name Jof followed by 5 or 6 low letters ending with and
apparent f or s.
108 First name looks like fanny but is a male; could be Ganny, Gainrif.
114 Roat or Rost.
115-118 Destination was Philadelphia.
118 First letter H or Fl. Probably Flahner. Mark over the a is probably
an umlaut.
120 First letter not clear, probably an R for Ralduks.
122 Although it looks like Worofka, it could be Woroska.
123 Destination not clear; looks like Jsteins.
124 Lauda but could be Landa.
125 Probably Prenvatil.
128 Anne's last name could be Horvanecz or Howanecz.
130 Adolf's last name might be Stampf, Stumpf or Shumpf.
131 From Switzerland. Destination looks like Niearayna.
138 Marz has an umlaut over the a.
139 Might be Quisin or Qursin.
141 Vandalsberg or Vandalsky.
145 Looks like Geses Andres or Andras. Destination Freetown?
147-8 Sedluk or Sedleik.
Later, in January 1895, the ship collided with another and sank in the
English Channel. The captain and 350 passengers went down with the ship.
Only 22 survived.
