S.Geerken
Transcriber's notes:
* The writer of this list often seems to spell the places of origin
(or destination) by sound rather than experience.
Thus, names like Donauschingen perhaps ought to be
Donaueschingen, Claveland--Cleveland, Beberah-Biberach, Lübbeke--Lübeck,
Wisloch--Wiesloch, etc.
Passenger's Notes:
4 Surname difficult to determine, the final 4 letters seem to be iung.
First letter may be C or Q making the name Ciung or Quing
13 Place of origination preceded by what looks like 3 letters,
perhaps Aml. The world may also be Amertinger.
14 Surname may have an umlaut over the "u"
16 Surname may be Landtross
21 Surname could be Herp; Place of origin has an umlaut over the "u"
27-30 Surname has an umlaut over the "o"
31 Surname is started with a "Ko" which is then crossed off and
the "o" is enlarged to make a capital "O" so name before the
crossing off was Koehlmann
39 Lubbeke has an umlaut over the "u" thus: Lübbeke
40-42 Place of origin has an umlaut over the first "u"
42 Surname has an umlaut over the "o"
43 Surname has an umlaut over the "o"
45-47 Surname has an umlaut over the "o"
48 Surname has an umlaut over the "o"
49-51 Surname could be Sibold
61 The word physician is spelled "phisician"
69 Place of origin has an umlaut over the "u"
77 Surname is first written as Berger, then the last two letters
"er" are crossed out and an "s" written over them.
78 Umlaut over "u" in Gütersloh
80 Fourth letter of surname is overwritten so that the name could
be Heibe, Heike, Heite, or Heile.
81 Umlaut over "u" in Endebrük
99 Surname has an umlaut over the "u"
104-116 Umlaut over "u" in Jollgrün
117-120 Umlaut over "u" in Neust. Gödens
130 Surname has an umlaut over the first "u"
131-133 Surname could be Streve
138 Surname may be Langer--however there seems to be an umlaut over
the "u" if its Lauger
138 Umlaut over "o" in Döhnholzdorf
140 Age is 2 digits with the 8 being clear, but the first digit is
overwritten, may be either 18 or 48
152 Surname has an umlaut over the "o"
153 Surname has an umlaut over the "o"
155-156 Surname has an umlaut over the "o"--also, in the far right column
there is a bracket linking the two names
and the word Baby with further words that are too faint to
read--presumably a baby born during the journey.
158 There may be an "e" at the end of the surname making it
Bornhause
160 The occupation spelled tiler possibly should be tiller
163-166 Surname could be Zibing, Librig, or Zibrig
