Transcriber's Notes
There is no captain's statement nor captain's name attached to this manifest.
The following columns had identical entries for all passengers and so were not included above:
Whether ever in Prison, Almshouse or supported by Charity=no
 Whether a Polygamist=no
Condition of Health Mental and Physical=good
 Whether having any deformities=no
Letters that are illegible or difficult to interpret are replaced by ?.

1 Kanaka is a slang word for Hawaiian.
5 First letter logically should be a "J" but it lacks the tail below the line of the "J"
in Johnstone. It could be an "I." Seaman is written above Farmer in the occupation
     column.
6 age is not recorded.
7-14 Haw Exhto probably refers to Hawaiian Exhibition. There are a number of ships with
passengers whose fare was paid thus.
