Brig Ariel
I, Noah Swain, do solemnly, sincerely, and truly Swear that the Report or Manifest subscribed with my name, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the District of Philadelphia, contains, to the best of my knowledge and belief, a just and true account of all the passengers which were on board the Brig Ariel at the time of her sailing from the port of St. Domingo or which have been taken on board at any time since; that I am at present and have been during the voyage master of the said vessel. And I do likewise Swear that all matters whatsoever in the said Report or Manifest, are to the best of my knowledge and belief, just and true. So help me God. Report or Manifest of all the Passengers taken on board the Brig Ariel whereof Noah Swain is Master, from S. Domingo burthen 88 60/95 Tons and owned by Samuel Thompson & Others of New York and bound to Philadelphia.
Columns represent: Names, Age, Sex, Occupation, To what country belonging, Country of which it is their intention to become inhabitants, Number and Names of Passengers who have died on the voyage.

The column, "Number and Names of Passengers Who have died on the voyage", was blank and is not included in this transcription. * The word "Merchants" was on the first line and ditto for the rest of the list, including on the line of Hippolyte Billen. * Age of Thompson could be 42 or 62. * "Hayti" is as it is spelled on the manifest.
