Passenger List "Passenger Act of 1882"
I, John Hedderwick, Master of the SS Anchoria
do solemnly, sincerely, and truly _____ that the following List or Manifest,
subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of
the Collection District of the City of New York is a full and perfect list
of all the passengers taken on board the said vessel at Glasgow from which
port said vessel has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated
the age, the sex, and the calling of each of said passengers, the location
of the compartment or space occupied by each during the passage, the country
or citizenship of each, and also the destination or location intended by
each; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said
passengers who have died on said voyage, and the dates and causes of death,
and the names and ages of those who died; also of the pieces of baggage of
each; also a true statement so far as it can be ascertained, with reference
to the intention of ach alien passenger as to a protracted sojourn in this

* Many first names were abbreviated with last character superscripted
525 - looks like last name is Stolnus
669 & 670 - no compartment was specified and since they were
children ages 5 & 3, it seems unlikely they stayed on the Main Deck
with their father.
Reviewer's Notes:
491 - 493: the last name could be Moor.
525: the last name could be Stolmes or Holmes.
568 - 573: the last name could be Fox.
684 - 686: it looks like there might be a "s" at the end of the last name,
therefore the last name could be Heinrichs.
690 - 692: the last name could be Schendonski.

Mother: Maria Bok (or Bach)
Siblings: Sister was Nora, who married Charles Gallagher (son of Cornelius (Croher)
Gallagher & Hannah (Nancy) Ward) & settled in Lower Crickamore.
Also had a brother John, who had a son Anthony O?Donnell who lived in
Dungloe.
Marriage: Married ca.1875 to Patrick (Paddy) Gallagher, son of Cornelius (Croher)
Gallagher & Hannah (Nancy) Ward of Lower Crickamore. Had 4 children born in
Ireland (1 child, Magey, died as an infant), and 8 more born in the states.
Emigration: Arrived in New York on May 23, 1883 aboard the S.S. Anchoria, along with her
3 children, her in-laws the Patrick Bonners & their 4 children, and her
in-laws the John Gallaghers & their 6 children. Her husband, Patrick
Gallagher, arrived sometime earlier. Maureen Serra
