Transcribers notes on a passenger
Passenger #20 is my grandfather; passenger #21 is his brother, Vito. Both came to New York from Chiaramonte Gulfi (Ragusa), Sicily, and settled on Thompson Street in the Little Italy section of New York City. Giovanni was the son of Raffaele Gianninoto and Raffaela Noto. Raffaele & Raffaela came to New York approximately 1906. My grandfather Giovanni relocated to Brooklyn in 1911 and then to Bellmore, New York. He married Josephine Cantagalli of New York in 1910. Giovanni and Josephine had eight children; one was my father, Ferdinand. My father married Joan van de verg Garretson in 1946; I am one of their 10 children. Ferdinand died 22 June 1977. Nancy Profit
