Schooner Triton


Halifax, Nova Scotia to Plymouth, Massachusetts
2 November 1830

DISTRICT OF PLYMOUTH – PORT OF PLYMOUTH
I, Abner Crowell, do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear, that the within REPORT and LIST, subscribed with my name, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the District of Plymouth contains, to the best of my knowledge and belief, the names, age, sex, and occupation of all the passengers, together with the name of the country to which they severally belong, and that of which they intend to become inhabitants, which were on board the Schooner Triton, whereof I am at present Master, at the time of her sailing from the Port of Halifax or which have at any time since been taken on board said vessel. And I do likewise swear, that all matters whatsoever in said Report and List expressed, are, to the best of my knowledge and belief, just and true. So help me God. (Signed) Abner Crowell. Report and List of the Passengers taken on board the Schooner Triton of Duxbury whereof Abner Crowell is Master, burthen Seventy Five tons and 35/95ths of a ton, bound from the Port of Halifax, N. S. for Plymouth, Mass.
Columns represent: name, age, sex, occupation, country to which they belong, country of which they intend to become inhabitants. The passengers all intended to become inhabitants of the United States so that column will be eliminated here.

Transcriber's Notes: 
This note was in the final column: "No one has died or left nor any 
sickness on board this vessel."
 
The country of origin was not written in, nor were ditto marks written, 
for most of the passengers.  It is assumed that all passengers after 
each of the country names were from the same country as the one where 
the country was written down. 

 #14 was marked female, even though Murty is usually a male name.  
     Letter(s) in question for surname for this group are either rr or n.
 #24 there may be s on the end of surname, but not certain.
