Transcriber's Notes;

* An asterisk indicates an error on the part of the original recorder, not
the transcriber. In other cases it may indicate that a diacriticaal mark
is on a word, which will be shown below according to the passenger number.
The ? indicates letters or words that cannot be read due to the quality
of the original document, and will also be elaborated upon below according
  to the passenger number.
* Since no one died on the voyage, that column has been eliminated.
* The original list was not numbered. I added the numbers myself, in
accordance with ISTG guidelines. In the notes below, the numbers
correspond to the number of those entries which contain question marks
  or asterisks.
* 7 The third letter of the surname could be u or a: Roun, Roan
* 27-30: Not sure if there are two or three letters following the two m's:
  could be Commin or Commein
* 49-50: Last letter of surname could be n or r: McCrucher, McCruchen

* 53: The way the first name is written on this list, frankly, would never
have been read as "Phillip" by this transcriber if I had not expected
him to be on this ship (he had stated on his intention to be naturalized
certificate that he had "landed in New Orleans sometime in the month of
September 1846". The last name, McKee, is quite clear, and the age
corresponds to his. No other ship that landed in New Orleans in September
1846 had any McKee on it. Phillip McKee is the transcriber's great
granduncle, from the area around Newtownhamilton, Co. Armagh, Ireland.
By 1850, he had arrived in Lexington, Fayette Co., Kentucky, where he
was working as an attendant in the Lexington "Lunatic" Asylum. Though
at some point he did marry, his wife apparently died around 1855.
Phillip's brothers and cousins followed him to Kentucky and some of them
also worked for a while in the Lunatic Asylum. As far as I know, he was
the first of his Catholic McKee family from that part of Ireland to
emigrate. By 1870 he had retired, and died several years later, childless,
with a fairly good estate. I will be happy to correspond with anyone who
knows more or wants to know more about this McKee family from Co. Armagh.
