Also on board were a KETURAH DAVIES and her sister JANE DAVIES. KETURAH died on the 30th December, just 28 days after arriving in Adelaide. This information is on the Internet if you wish to check. KETURAH DAVIES kept a diary and after going through this I have found some names mentioned in the diary but not in the passenger listing. They are as follows:

From my own research into my family "EDWARDS" I know the members who
travelled were: -

    MARY ANNE (not Marianne) EDWARDS

Also mentioned in the diary was that Mrs Lloyd gave birth while on their journey and also Mrs Thomson gave birth to a little girl who was christened "Schah Jehan". There was also a mention of at least six babies were born during the journey.

We have found ancestors on the Passenger List of the Schah Jejan which
arrived in Adelaide on 2 December 1860

Benjamin Collin , his wife Harriet nee Clapp, and 4 children Harriet, Sarah,
Benjamin & Stephen.

They settled around the mid-north of South Australia.

They later had 3 more children Charles born at Kapunda, Fanny who married
Thomas Robinson and Alfred.  Pat Young

These are the great grandparents of James, Betty, Dorothy and Victor COLLETT
 
This family moved from Adelaide to Maryborough, approx 1865  where 
they had 5 more children. Henry was occupied in Gold Mining.
I have a family photo including the elderly HENRY COLLETT who made 
this journey. Others in photo are Emily Jane Collett, my Grandmother, 
and some of her children (of 11) including my father at top rt hand side,  
James Percy COLLETT. 

Settled in Queenstown, Adelaide, South Australia, where they had 5 more children
viz....
William Henry, Mary Jane, Emanual Peter, Edwin Arthur and Eleanor Harriet Siniai.
There are many descendants throughout Australia in all walks of life.
I am a grt. granddau. via William Henry's 7th child, James Percy Collett.

History of the Schah Jehan

The vessel was a 3 masted wooden ship, 696ton, 148 x 30.2 x22 ft ON15879 Built 1848 Denny Dunbarton Arrived 1 December, from London 21 August 1860, Plymouth 24 August (Register 3 December 1860), Capt. J.A. Cox. Stranded in Port River 2 December, surveyed and abandoned to the Underwriters 1861 sold to Walter Duffield and partners. Registered Port Adelaide. Scuttled at Wallaroo 1862 to prevent further damage when holed in a gale but subsequently refloated and repaired. 1864 sold to Robert Towns, registered Sydney, following a grounding in Twofold Bay, NSW and finally became the property of Alexander Stuart of Sydney but was wrecked Feb 3 1867 when she missed stays and ran aground off Point Lobos when entering San Francisco. She had loaded timber in Puget Sound for Sydney and was making a call at San Francisco at the time of the accident.
