Source: "New York Marine Register:
* A Standard of Classification of American Vessels, and of such other vessels
* She was 319 tons built in 1854 of white oak at Sestri Ponente near Genoa and
commanded by Captain G. Guerillo from her launching and then for more than 10 years.
* She was a class "1B" vessel fastened with copper and iron with a deck cabin.
* She was last surveyed in American in 1873 and listed as active until 1875.
as visit American ports."
Transcriber's Notes:
* It seems no last name is listed for these passengers
* Numbers for passengers were added
* Note well that the baby born at sea, Silvania, is named for the ship.
* My guess is that the initials G.B. could be one of the following Giuseppe
(Joseph), Gugliermo (William) or Giovanni Baptiste (John Baptist).
* Also aboard was Giuseppe Zerega (18) Farmer. John F. Zerega, my ggf, did
not immigrate until 1870.
* "Retagliati (sic) Family" ("Retagliati" is Italian plural form of name -like
"Hanson" and "the Hansons")
