Halifax, Nova Scotia, to Philadelphia

DISTRICT OF PHILADELPHIA – PORT OF PHILADELPHIA
I, Isaac Gorham do solemnly, sincerely, and truly ___ that the Report or Manifest subscribed with my name, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the District of Philadelphia, contains to the best of my knowledge and belief, a just and true account of all the Passengers which were on board of the Brig Myra at the time of her sailing from the port of Halifax NS or which have been taken on board at any time since; that I am at present, and have been during the voyage, master of the said vessel. And I do likewise swear that all matters whatsoever in the said Report or Manifest are, to the best of my knowledge and belief, just and true. Sworn before me, this 14 day of July, 1834. Report or Manifest of all the Passengers taken on board the Brig Myra, whereof Isaac Gorham is Master, from Halifax NS, burthen 129 84/95 Tons and owned by A G Barclay of Philadelphia and bound to Philadelphia.
Columns represent: Name, Age, Sex, *Occupation, *To what Country belonging, *Country of which it is their intention to become Inhabitants, *Number and Names of Passengers who have died on board.

  Transcriber's Notes: 
    This film is very faint, makes poor print copy. Transcribed direct from 
    film.
  * The 4th column "Occupation" has "Farmer" written at the top of the 
    column and dittos down the rest of the column, and it is not included 
    in this transcription.    
  * The 5th column "To what Country belonging" has "Ireland" written at 
    the top of the column and dittos through the rest of the column, and 
    it is not included in this transcription.
  * The 6th column "Country of which it is their intention to become 
    Inhabitants" has "United States" written at the top of the column and 
    dittos through the rest of the column, and it is not included in this 
    transcription. 
  * The 7th column, "Number and Names of passengers who died on board" has 
    only the entry "Two Trunks, Three Bund" with braces to include all 
    passengers to this reference.
  * Letters of passenger #2 were too faint to be deciphered.

I just came across your transcription of the Brig Myra, traveling from Halifax to Philadelphia in July 1834, with my great-great-grandfather James Daly and my great-grandfather Tim Daly. Having seen the film itself, I agree that it was faint. Thank you for doing this. Anyone researching Daly's may contact me at Tom Bohan
