DISTRICT OF NEW ORLEANS - PORT OF NEW ORLEANS
I, William Allen, do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear, that the following List or Manifest, of Passengers, subscribed with my name, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs for the District of New York*, contains, to the best of my knowledge and belief, a just and true account of all the Passengers received on board the Ship Minesota whereof I am Master, from Liverpool. So help me God. Sworn to this 4th* of Feb. 1849, (signed) William Allen, Before me* ??????.

Affidavit:
 * Date (day - 4th) smeared.
 * Port = New York has been crossed out twice and New Orleans added.
 * Port = New York is not crossed off in the Customs statement.
 * Before me = can't tell whether it's initials or a name, smeared.
 * Tonage = could be (779. or 7790) or (499. or 4990). 

Columns:
 * Column = SEX, was blank on entire passenger list.
 * Column = OCCUPATION, was blank for many of the passengers.
 * Column = The country to which they severally belong, listed "England"
   only once at the top.
 * Column = The country to which they intend to become inhabitants, listed
   "America" only once at the top.
 * No Column = for Steerage/Cabin, probably all Steerage, based on
   occupations.

 * Passenger numbers added by transcriber (were not on original passenger
   list).
 * 11. John Kavanagh = looks like age 12, could be age 22.
 * 45. Margaret Kennedy = looks like age 13, could be age 43.
 * 73. Benjamin Town = Elizabeth Bradley crossed off and Benjamin Town
   added.
 * 86. ? Whitty = no 1st name is written or too faded to see.
 * 100. James Armour* = says age 13, Farmer (usually no occupation is
   listed before age 18).
