Correspondence 11/25/01 passenger #30 Huber
I found my ancestor on this site--Ch Huber. He settled in Westphalia MO,
and became one of the founding fathers of this settlement. He married
twice and with the second wife he had five children; two of which served
in the Civil War, one who gave the ultimate sacrifice and the other came
home to take over his father's lucrative farms and his ferry boat operation.
The land that Charles Huber had bought stayed mainly in the family until
1993 when my grandmother sold most of the property to outside of this family.
When Charles was living it is said that he could look out any side of
his house and see nothing but land that him and his brothers owned.

I am the great-great-great granddaughter of Charles and Elizabeth Huber.
Elizabeth came through the port of New Orleans with her family on the
Orion. Her name was Elizabeth Lueckenhoff or also known as Lisette by
her family. Julie Huber
