I, F. Heinbeck, Master of the SS Hohenstaufen do solemnly and truly declare that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me,and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York, is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board the said vessel at Bremen from which port said vessel has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an habitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the Number of said passengers who have died on said voyage and the names and ages of those who died. *All passengers listed from Wurttenburg, Bade, Prussia, Turingia and
 Oldenburg the original text shows each of them in Germany.
*Female passengers between Passenger 802 and 965 were never listed with
 an occupation.
*Passenger 802 the 'm' at the end of Wilh*m is superscript and appears
 to be an abbreviation of Wilhelm. The city appears to be an abbreviation
 of Wurttenburg.
*Passenger 814 the 'm' of the first name is superscript and appears
 to be an abbreviation of Wilhelm.
*Passenger 821 the first name appears to be an abbreviation of Friedrich.
*Passenger 822 the first name appears to be an abbreviation of Heinrich.
*Passenger 829 the 'd' of Bernh*d is superscript and appears to represent
 an abbreviation of Bernhard.
*Passenger 831 the first name appears to be an abbreviation of Heinrich.
*Passenger 832 through 844 and 846 the city abbreviated as 'Wthbg' is

John and Marie C. had two children born in Chicago, Vaclav/James *1885

Jan Cihlar had a brother Vaclav/James (lived in Bernartice, S Bohemia).
Vaclav`s son Frantisek married Rosalie Peterka and emigrated to the USA.
They were grandparents of astronaut Cernan.
Rosalie Peterka was probably a relative of my ancestors.
