Ship Harmony


Liverpool, England to Hampton, Virginia
10 August 1821

DISTRICT OF HAMPTON – PORT OF HAMPTON
I, Salem Woodward, Master of the Ship Harmony from Liverpool, do solemnly, sincerely and truly swear that the list of Passengers subscribed with my name and now delivered by me to the Collr. of the District of Hampton, contains to the best of my knowledge and belief, the names and description (so far as I have been able to ascertain the same) of all the persons who were taken on board at any port or place since the departure of said Ship from Liverpool. So help me God. (Signed) Salem Woodward. Sworn to before me, this 10 August 1821 (signed) Wm. Armistead. I certify the within to be a true copy. (Signed) Wm. Armistead, Coll.

Transcriber's Notes:     
The word "England" was written only once in the column for country of origin, 
about halfway down the column.  It is assumed that all the passengers were from 
England, though no ditto marks were written in that column or the final column. 

  #3 letter in surname could be s or r.
  #7 middle initial could be G or J.
  #9-11 written as female though at least 2 should have been male.
 #10 letter either n or r.
