Correspondence 07/19/01 passengers #316-322 BAYASCH/BAJASCH I found my relatives on board and I couldn't be happier. They are the Bajasch or as we know them the Bayasch. Andreas Bayasch was born in Davos, Switzerland 11/24/1832 and died at Eagle Valley, Wisconsin 3/30/1875. He was married to Anna Bayasch born about 2/1/1837 and died 11/25/1906 in Tacoma, Washington. Their eldest son was Johan Rudolph Bayasch. He would be my great grandfather. He was born 4/3/1861, lived near Marion, North Dakota and died 3/20/1890 buried also at Eagle Valley Cemetary. His daughter Anna was my grandmother. the Bayaschs' had daughters Lizzie (Elisale) Bayasch Carpenter was born about 1862 last known in Coupville, WA in 1954 Mary Bayasch Housinger was 1863 last known Tacoma, WA 1954 Anna Bayasch Engles was born about 1866 and is last known in Tacoma, WA in 1954 Heinrich Bayasch was born 9/10/1868(tombstone) and died 2/23/1883 Eagle Valley, Wis. Andrew Bayasch was born at Eagle Valley, Wis, lived at Crystal Springs, ND and died 5/11/1954 at Gig harbor, WA and is buried at Old Tocoma Cemetery. Gasal is a name familiar to the family, but not sure how related. They are all in Jamestown, ND. I wish to know more about the Swiss Connection and Bajasch, or Bayasch, or Baejasch, Baiasch all the same family off from different records and documents! Thanks!
