Steamer Fah Kee


Santiago de Cuba Via Nuevitas to New York
28 June 1866

DISTRICT OF NEW YORK - PORT OF NEW YORK
I John Stirling, master of the American Steamer Fah Kee do solemnly, sincerely and truly ? that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York, is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board of the said Steamer Fah Kee at Sta Jagode de Cuba Via Nuevitas from which port said Steamer Fah Kee has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who died.

Transcriber's Notes: 

* The Column representing died on voyage has been eliminated,
  there were no deaths on voyage.  
* All passengers were Cabin passengers.

I have found members of my family on this ship, passengers #29-33.
Maria Luisa BROOKS born 1825 Santiago de Cuba and died 1897 New York, 
married Frederico MARTINEZ de la CRUZ y de LARA, artist painter, born 
probably Santiago.  He was the son of Juan and Francisca MATOS.  This 
couple had three children.
*Manuel born Santiago, probably married with an American lady.  Died 
probably after 1925.
*Frederico born 1858 Santiago, probably single.
*Rosa Isabel born 1854 Santiago and died 1940 Paris.  Married (1) 
Georges DUBAIL and (2) Francois BOISSY d'ANGLAS.
I would like to share all information on Frederico, his parents, his 
family and on his two sons.Helene Boissy d'Anglas (in France)
