DISTRICT OF SAN FRANCISCO - PORT OF SAN FRANCISCO
I, D. McNeill, Master of the Discovery do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of Customs of the Collection District of San Francisco, is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board the said vessel at Honolulu from which port of said vessel has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, the sex, and the calling of each of the said passengers, the location of the compartment or space occupied by each during the passage, the country of citizenship of each, and also the destination or location intended by each; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the dates and causes of death and the names and ages of those who died; also of the pieces of baggage of each; also a true statement, so far as can be ascertained, with reference to the intention of each alien passenger as to a protracted sojourn in this country. So help me God.

List or Manifest of all the Passengers taken on board the Discovery whereof McNeill is master, from Honolulu burthen 3905 tons.
Columns represent: Name, Age(yrs,mos)Sex, Calling, Country of which they are Severally Citizens Baggage, number of pieces, Native Country of Emigrants, Intended destination or Location, Location of Compartment or Space, Died on Voyage and Cause of Death.

Transcriber's Notes:  
* In the sworn statement, the day, month and last digit on year and the name
  of the Deputy Collector were all blank on the original manifest.
* There were no deaths recorded on the voyage so the column Died on Voyage and Cause 
  of Death was eliminated by the transcriber.
