I, _______*, Master of the ________* do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of San Francisco, is a full and perfect list of all Chinese passengers taken on board the said vessel at Port Townsend from which port said vessel has now arrived, and they have not landed at any foreign port or place during the voyage, and of all such passengers now on board said vessel, and that on said List is truly designated the names and other particulars, as shown by their respective certificates.So help me God. Sailed from Victoria, B.C. Aug 12, 1893. I hereby certify the above to be correct and that the certificates of Victoria Chinamen have been compared by me with the Register on file at the Customs House at Port Townsend and are found to be correct. (signature) Chas Miller, Deputy Collector of Customs
Columns represent: Number, No of Certificate*, Name, Age, Occupation, Last Place of Residence, Height, Complexion*, Color of Eyes*, Physical Marks or Peculiarities and Facts of Identification, If accredited oficers of Chinese Government, state facts*.

Transcriber's Notes:

The top part of the page is missing for this list so the information transcribed here 
 starting with DISTRICT AND PORT OF SAN FRANCISCO and continuing through the burthen is 
 that that is found on other pages on the film.  This is the reason none of the blanks 
 have been completed.  On other lists for the City of Puebla the Captain is G. Debney and
 the burthen is 1713 tons.  The next two paragraphs are separate stamps placed on the 
 body of the page and then completed.

The pages on this film are not numbered so finding a particular ship can be difficult.  
 However, there appears to be a system of numbering the manifests.  These numbers are
 included in the identification of the film and reel numbers below.  There are four ships
 that seem to be out of order using this system.  This is one of them.

The cover sheet for this list has a hand written note and two stamps.  The note is:
Respectfully referred to Collector for a ruling as to the rights of the within named Chinese 
 persons to land (signature) S.J. Ruddell, Dep Coll
Allow landing under Dept telegram of Nov 21, 1888
 (signature) B.J. Jinme Dep Coll.

The stamps are:
 I certify that I have landed the within named chinese(sic) persons (signature) WW Presbury
 Inspector Presbury on identification by _____ (uncompleted blank) land the within named
  chinese(sic) persons in accordance with foregoing order (signature) SJ Ruddell May 12

The following columns had identical entries for all passengers and so were not included in 
the table:
