Ship Burlington
I, Joseph Michaels do solemnly, sincerely and truly swear that the Report or Manifest subscribed with my name, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the District of Philadelphia contains, to the best of my knowledge and belief, a just and true account of all the passengers which were on board the Ship Burlington at the time of her sailing from the port of Londonderry or which have been taken on board at any time since; that I am at present, and have been during the voyage, master of the said vessel. And I do likewise swear that all matters whatsoever in the said Report or Manifest are, to the best of my knowledge and belief, just and true. (Signed) J. Michaels. #42 surname possibly Dogherty; cannot see first name at all.
Very dark copy.
#55-56 destination may begin with N or M, ends with k. Does not
look like New York. About 7 or 8 letters. May begin Mana or Nana.
#60 first letter of destination almost looks like J or I.
#65 age could be 17 or 19.
#66 line cut off at top; can only guess that there could be 4 or 5
more letters. Age could be 13 or 15.
#67-70 destination could be Sacony.
#81-83 surname as found.
#90 line with her name cut off at top; surname possibly is Logan,
but cannot be certain. Age possibly 18.
#106-107 surname could begin with G or L or S, McGhea, McLhea or McShea.
#108 age either 26 or 36.
#109 first name could be James.
#112 same as #109.
