SS Bolivia
I, James Donaldson, Master of the SS Bolivia do solemnly, sincerely and truly declare that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of the City of New York is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board the said vessel at Glasgow and Moville from which port said vessel has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, the sex, and the calling of each of said passengers, the location of the compartment or space occupied by each during the passage, the country or citizenship of each and also the destination or location intended by each, and that said List of Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the dates and causes of death, and the names and ages of those who died; also of the pieces of baggage of each; also a true statement, so far as it can be ascertained, with reference to the intention of each alien passenger as to a protracted sojourn in this country. Thompson-Age could be 23 or 25 but I think it was 25. 522 Janet W?rk appears to be the letter 'o' but could be the letter 'a'. 527-531 Surname could be Purvis. The letter 'e' was closed but no dot was discernible and the writer did dot all of his 'i's which made me think it was an 'e'. The writer also closed the loop in many of his 'e's. 546 John ? Baxter could possibly be a J, T, or F. Drumm may actually read Drummer. There were two very small letters that could read 'er'. 551 ? McIntosh-The first name is so faint as to be completely illegible. Unable to see if there was a name or only initials. 574 Mary Docherty-Sex listed on copy is M, not an error on transcribers part. 580 Unity Boyle-The sex was so faint as to be completely illegible due to the copy. 581-589 There was only a check mark in the age column. 583 Honor Carty-Sex listed on copy is M, not an error on transcribers part. 637 Michl McDonnell-The 'l' in Michl was smaller and above the other letters 646 Louise-There was no surname listed and dittos were not discernible. 657 James-There was no surname listed and dittos were not discernible.
