SS Bolivia
I, James Donaldson Master of the SS Bolivia, do solemnly, sincerly and truly declare that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of the City New York is a full and perfect List of all the Passengers taken on board the said vessel at Glasgow & Moville from which Port said vessel has now arrived; and that on the said List is truly designated the age, the sex, and the calling of each of said passengers, the location of the compartment or space occupied by each during the passage, the country or citizenship of each, and also the destination or location intended by each, and the said List of Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the dates and causes of death, and the names and ages of those who died; and also the pieces of baggage of each; also a true statement, so far as it can be ascertained, with reference to the intention of each alien passanger as to a protracted sojourn in this country. The Captains statement was between passenger #449 and passenger #450. The names after the Captains statement were numbered 1-66 and have been renumbered as 450-515. No deaths were reported; so the column was eliminated. 378 Loherty may be Doherty, but the first letter was L. 393 A scratch at the end of the name could be an r. The name would be Mortimer. 401 The first name and age were not listed. 402 No age was given. 402 First name may be Mary or Marg. 408 No age was given. 410-411 If the recorder ran out of room, Cunning could be Cunningham. 417 No age was given. 419 The name could be Cunn. 424 Age may be 24 0r 34. 424-429 The name is smudged. It could be be Coventry. 441 Age could be 2 or 4. 449 The infant was not identified as male or female. 454 No age was given. 470 There was no first name. 513-514 Grundgr could be Grundar. Correspondence 10/27/2003 passengers #446-449 Deary I found my grandmother, her siblings and mother on board this ship. They settled in Illinois in LaSalle Township, LaSalle County. The family is listed under numbers, 446, 447, 448, and 449 - the infant being a girl. Ann Deary, (Anna Mary Dearie) married Charles John Zoeller.
