DISTRICT OF EDGARTOWN – PORT OF EDGARTOWN
I, William G. Blackler do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear that the following List or Manifest of Passengers, subscribed with my name, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs for the District of Edgartown (Transcriber's Note: New York crossed out, and Edgartown written in), contains, to the best of my knowledge and belief, a just and true account of all the Passengers received on board the Ship Ariosto whereof I am Master, from Hamburg. Sworn to the 28 Dec. 1837 before me, (signed) H. C. Worth, D. Coll. (Signed) Wm. G. Blackler.
List or Manifest of all the Passengers taken on board the Ship Ariosto whereof Wm. G. Blackler is master, from Hamburg, burthen 361 & 4?/100 tons.

Transcriber's Notes:     
* The list was written on a form which was pre-printed for District of 
  New-York and Port of New-York, but then those were crossed out and Boston 
  was written in.  Then Boston was crossed out and Edgartown was written.  
  Was probably an emergency arrival at Edgartown.
 
* #17 paper was cut on this line.  Top part of number for age looks like 9.
* #18 possibly more letters in first name, but on a cut.  Bottom part of 
  number for age looks like 3 or 5 or 6.
* #29-30 probably the captain's family aboard.  Their gender was not filled in.
