Transcribers Notes:
*Ship Master’s surname appears to be Holinstin but could also be Hohnst????
*Accommodations: Passengers 1 through 280 are indicated by squiggley
lines or occasional page headings as occupying the “helms deck”.
**Passengers 281 through 293 are listed as occupying “Cent??”, perhaps
“Center”.
Sex of Passengers: Passengers 1 through 30 are listed as Male or Female,
m or f, or ditto or “ to indicate this; Passengers 31 through the last
at 293 have no apparent marking for sex - one can only go by the first
name, or sometimes the occupation.
Occupations: A few women have occupations listed; a few men have no
occupation listed.
There were no births or deaths recorded.
The ? marks indicate letters or words that cannot be read due to the
quality of the original document.
Pass. 6: first name starts with a letter which looks like a small “l”,
but is like the capital “J” used in other written names; last letter
of first name could also be “z”.
Pass. 11: Last name starts with the same letter as mentioned for first
name for pass. 6.
Pass. 12: Occupation left blank.
Pass. 57: Age may have originally been written 20 but with the 2 crossed
over to be 3.
Pass. 108: Some possibility first name could be Elija but most likely
correct as Eliza. All other Irish servants have female names - note
that sex is not indicated for any but the first 30 passengers.
Pass. 143: Place of origin left blank - or possibly had a ditto mark too
light to read. which would make it Bavaria.
Pass. 153 thru 157: Surname appears to be Aliuus, or Abius - middle
letters string out as i's or u's.
Pass. 208: Surname could be Muilles; or less likely, Muiller; the ui
could be iu, as there are 3 lines up but a dot appears above the 3rd
line, which I interpret as ui.
Pass. 224: First name could be Pffi (4th letter has a clear dot above
it); or could be Pffr; 3rd letter appears to be but is not a definite f.
Pass. 225: Surname's first letter is not clear and is written over an f
from previous name; could start with B.
Pass. 234: Surname something like Grimuos, or Grissuous.
Pass. 256: Surname has 6 up lines which may be an i, n, or u; may end
in -nell
