Indicates a letter or number which could not be determined due to the condition of the manifest or handwriting of the original recorder. ^ Indicates letters are omitted and the following letter is superscripted. * Though the sworn statment is the form for New York, the ship is found in microfilms for ships into New Orleans. It may be that the captain only had port of New York forms. * The writer of this list anglicizes many names (even some surnames). The more likely German version may be found in footnotes for those passengers affected. Also, the writer of the list is not the captain. Compare his two signatures with the handwriting of the rest of the list. * It is difficult to determing occupations for this list. The writer just uses ditto marks for every line, but at the head of each page lists an occupation for women or children. 10 Given name more likely Georg. 23 Given name probably Friederich. 34 Given name likely Johann Christian. 42 Given name more likely Georg. 43 Given name more likely Magdalene. 51 Given name probably Christian. 52 Given name likely Georg 53 Given name most likely Johann. 55 Given name likely Georg. 57 Given name likely Gerhard. 59 Given name more likely Georg. 77 Frohlich (Fröhlich) has an umlauted o. 82 Bartholomaus (Bartholomäus) has an umlauted a. 97-103 Muller (Müller) has an umlauted u. 135 Given name likely Johann. 136 Given name likely Christian. 136-140 Mohlmann (Möhlmann) has an umlauted o. 141 Given name likely Heinrich. 149 Kramer (Krämer) has an umlauted a. 160 Given name likely Heinrich. 162 Given name more likely Johann. 170 Given name likely Heinrich. 173 Gender probably incorrect for this entry. 176 Given name likely Johann. 183 Burstlein (Bürstlein) has an umlauted u. 184 Given name likely Gerhard. 185 Given name likely Friedrich. 186 Given name likely Heinrich. 188 Given name likely Heinrich. 189 Given name likely Friedrich. 190 Given name likely Nicolaus. 198 Given name more likely Theodor. 206 Given name likely Johann. 207 Given name likely Elisabeth. 216 Given name likely Heinrich. 217 Given name likely Heinrich. 223 Jurgen (Jürgen) has an umlauted u. 229-230 Given name likely Christian.
