DISTRICT OF NEW YORK – PORT OF NEW YORK
I, L. F. Paulsen Master of the Oldbg. Bark Robert do solemnly, sincerely and truly swear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs District of New York, is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board of the said Bark Robert at Bremen from which port said vessel has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who died.

   A number of entries on this list designate by "do" (ditto) females, children and babies
   as laborers or farmers -- which seems unexplainable..

 18        Borgards (Börgards) has an umlauted o.
 23-25     Schluter (Schlüter) has an umlauted u.
 36-37     Surname may be Fageter.
 38-40     Surname unclesr; may be Kniserisnen.
 48-58     The Wilhelms all came from Terborg, Ostfriesland, and were headed for Freeport
           Illinois. Given name for no. 48 should be Christoffer.  See Ortssippenbuch Neermoor
           entry no. 5044
 50        Given name should be Geeske..
 60        Headed for Baileyville IL.
 60, 61-62 The Bohens were from Terborg, Ostfriesland.  See Neermoor Ortssippenbuch entry 532
 71        Given name seems to be Meyel.
 73-75     Surname seems to be something like Bosenstein.
 76        I believe the name is Kussen (Küssen)
 78        Muller (Müller) has an umlauted u.
 79-87     No gender listed for these passengers.
 85        Grons (Gröns) has an umlauted o.
 92-96     Worstorfer (Wörstörfer) both o's are umlauted. 
102        Klockner (Klöckner) has an umlauted o.
108        Bohmer (Böhmer) has an umlauted o.
110        Toroenz (Töroenz) has an umlauted o.
111        Surname blurred--seems to be Hellmann.
124        Gender seems to be indicated as man, but given name suggests female.
141        Surname may be Kalle.
162        Schafer (Schäfer) has an umlauted a.
163        Surname seems to be something like Thriesurt.
170        The second letter of the surname is squeezed between the first and third; name may
           be Abeck.
202        Frohlich (Fröhlich) has an umlaued o.
203-205    Surname is either Trischmann or Frischmann.
208        Muller (Müller) has an umlauted u.
212        Possibly the name should be Conrad Jager (Jäger).
222-225    No surname indicated for these entries; presumbably, it should be Gippert.
228-238    The surname should be spelled:  Akkermann.  Passenger number 228 should be Meeke
           Akkermann, and the children shoujld be Egge, Geeske and Elisabeth.  The family came
           from Meermoor and was headed for Illinois.  See Neermoor Ortssippenbuch, entries at
           no. 46.
