I, N. C. Harris, Master of the S.S. Minnesota, do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York, is a full and perfect List of all the Passengers taken on board the said Ship at Liverpool from which Port the said Ship has now arrived; and that on said List is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said Passengers who have died on said Voyage and the names and ages of those who died.

A question mark (?) indicates a letter or a number that can not be transcribed
with certainty.
An asterisk (*) indicates either difficulty in deciphering the handwriting of the
manifest or something in the Transcriber's Notes to which the reader should refer.
A caret (^) indicates that the following letter in a word or name is superscripted.
The entry "United States" in the native country and destination country columns
is shortened to "U. States" for formatting reasons. "Male" and "Female" in the
Sex column are shortened to "M" and "F" for the same reason.
The recorder of the manifest often abbreviates given names by writing the first few
letters of the name, then skipping letters and then writing the final letter as
superscripted. In these cases, the transcriber uses the symbol (^) to indicate that
the following letter is superscripted, i.e., Tho^s for Thomas, Sam^l for Samuel,
Mg^t for Margaret, Ja^s for James, E^d for Edward, W^m for William, etc. Othertimes,
the recorder abbreviates names by writing the first few letters, skipping letters
and then adding the final letter of the name, i.e., Patk for Patrick, Margt or Mgt
for Margaret, Thos for Thomas, My for Mary, Hy for Henry, etc..
An "a" entered in place of a Passenger's Age means he or she is an adult who
either didn't know or didn't wish to disclose his/her Age.
696 Surname appears to be written as "Mears", but might possibly be "Meares" or "Meara".
697-698 Surname is recorded as "Quigly", but might possibly be "Quigley".
701 Surname is either "Samblin" or "Lamblin".
734 Surname is recorded as "Gilliandy", but might possibly be "Gilliland".
761 Surname is recorded as "Coller", but might be either "Collier" or "Colter".
785-786 Surname is recorded as "Cashane", but might possibly be "Cashlane".
906 Surname is recorded as "Colus", but might possibly be "Colles" or "Collis".
918 Surname is either "Colter" or "Cotter".
921-922 Surname is recorded as "Whalan", but might possibly be "Whelan".
932 Surname is either "Long" or "Song".
946 Surname is recorded as "Lanigar", But might possibly be "Lanigan".
947 Surname is recorded as either "Henelry" or "Henetry", but might possibly be
"Henery" or "Hennerty".
959 Passenger has the masculine given name "Ja^s" or "James", yet Sex is recorded
as "Female" with occupation "Spinster", likely a recording error.
963 Surname is recorded as "Mocklar", but might possibly be "Mockler" or "Mocklair".
980 Surname appears to be written as "McDailey", but might possibly be "McDarley".
986 Surname is recorded as "Noon", but might possibly be "Noone".
1014 Surname is either "Heddon" or "Heddin".
