Transcriber's Notes:
A question mark (?) indicates a letter or a number that can not be transcribed
definitely.
An asterisk (*) indicates either difficulty in deciphering the handwriting of the
manifest or something in the Transcriber's Notes to which the reader should refer.
A caret (^) indicates that the following letter in a word or name is superscripted.
The transcriber numbers the passengers consecutively, even though they are not
numbered in the original manifest.
The recorder of the manifest often abbreviates given names by writing the first few
letters of the name, then skipping letters and then writing the final letter as
superscripted. In these cases, the transcriber uses the symbol (^) to indicate that
the following letter is superscripted, i.e., M^l for Michael, Tho^s for Thomas, R^d
for Richard, Sam^l for Samuel, W^m for William, etc. Othertimes, the recorder
abbreviates names by writing the first few letters, skipping letters and then adding
the final letter of the name, i.e., Patk for Patrick, Fras for Francis, Margt for
Margaret, Thos for Thomas, Chas for Charles, Bgt for Bridget, etc..
337-341 Surname is recorded as "Kelligher" or "Kellegher", but might possibly
be "Kelleher".
349-352 Surname appears to be either "Frame" or "France".
402 Surname is either "Kunlen" or "Kimlen".
411 Surname is either "Strutber" or "Strulber".
412 Surname is recorded as "Hirch", but might possibly be "Hirsch".
450-451 Surname is recorded as "Coynes", but might possibly be "Coyne".
454-455 Surname is recorded as "Lanahan", but might possibly be "Lanehan", "Lanagan",
or "Lanaghan".
463 Surname is recorded as "Flahey", but might possibly be "Fahey".
486 Surname is recorded as "Kellecher", but might possibly be "Kellegher"
or "Kelleher".
497 Surname is recorded as "Gellson", but might possibly be "Gelson".
499 Surname is recorded as "Seganson", but might possibly be "Segerson".
522 Surname is recorded as "Dahell", but might possibly be "Dahill".
