transcriber's notes.
? Indicates a letter or number which could not be determined due to the condition
of the manifest or handwriting of the original recorder.
^ A ^ followed by a letter indicates that the letter was superscripted.
* Names were transcribed as seen regardless of spelling.
* Passenger numbers assigned for ease of searches.
* All passengers intended to reside in the U. States therefore this column is not shown.
* This was a hand written manifest that was attached as pages 4 and 5 to a three page
printed manifest for the Barque Columbia. Ancestry.com erroneously listed these two
manifests as one. Pages 4 and 5 were hand written for the Ship Columbia that departed
from Liverpool and arrived at Philadelphia on July 28th, 1841. The first three pages
were for the Barque Columbia which departed from Londonderry and arrived in Philadelphia
on July 3, 1841.
1 to 7 Surnames may be Fay.
