Transcriber's Notes:

* An asterisk indicates an error on the part of the original recorder, not the transcriber,
or is used to call attention to additional information in the passenger notes.

? Indicates a letter or number which could not be determined due to the condition of the
manifest or handwriting of the original recorder.

^ Indicates letters are omitted and the following letter is superscripted.

The captain's surname has an umlauted u, i.e. von Thülen

8-9 Damage to original list has blurred the middle letters of the surname; looks like it
       may be something like Gronke.
10-13 Damage to original list has blurred the middle letters of the surname; looks like it
       may be something like Graboser.
18 Note in origination column: Born at sea. See also captain's endnote about her birthdate.
28-29 Destination is spelled Cicago--presumably Chicago is meant.
82 Gunther (Günther) has an umlauted u so may also be Guenther.
87 Ludtke (Lüdtke) has an umlaued u so may also be Luedtke.
