There is no sworn statement from the captain nor is there a signature of the captain. The original document lists all passengers with given name first, surname second. As there were no deaths or passengers debarking prior to port, the Column entitled "Remarks relative to any who may have died or left the vessel during this Voyage" has been omitted. * In May of 1849 Cobh was still known as "The Cove of Cork". However, when Queen Victoria visited in August of 1849 this port city was renamed Queenstown and remained so until 1922 when Ireland gained her freedom from England and became the Republic of Ireland. The city was then renamed Cobh (Cove in Irish). 7 Charles O'Hara ages is either 7 or 17. 12 There is no last name after "infant", but is indented and listed with Kallanens. 26 through 43 plus 86 and 87 had no age listed. 75 John Finton's age is either 20, 21 or 23. 34 Mary Brickley could also be Buckley 92 Last name appears to be Shen
